Sustainability

Dimedium Group – a Pan-Baltic leader in animal health – is committed to shaping a sustainable future and leaving a cleaner, healthier world for the generations to come. We recognize that the choices we make today have a lasting impact, and we strive to minimize our environmental footprint while acting responsibly and thoughtfully. As a company, we take pride in leading by example and upholding the values that define us.

As a trusted wholesale distributor, Dimedium Group provides veterinary medicines, vaccines, livestock supplies, crop and fish farming products, and pet care solutions to B2B customers, including animal clinics, farms, and fish farms. Our portfolio features globally recognized brands and products, carefully curated to address the evolving needs of the entire sector.

In February 2024, Dimedium Group expanded its footprint in the Baltic region through the acquisition of two Latvian companies: Kurzeme CMAS and Latgale CMAS. Both companies specialise in the production and sale of breeding materials for cattle and pigs, as well as providing insemination services and milk analysis. The operations and team of Kurzeme CMAS were fully integrated into AS Dimedium Latvija, while Latgale CMAS, which operates two milk laboratories, continues to function as a separate entity. In addition, the Kurzeme facility includes a genetics business housing 22 adult breeding boars, further strengthening Dimedium’s capabilities in swine reproduction.

This acquisition enables Dimedium Group’s subsidiaries in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania to engage comprehensively in cattle genetics and reproduction, providing solutions from leading global breeding companies. The transaction was financed through bonds by LHV pension funds, reflecting investor confidence in Dimedium’s growth strategy.

Smart Farm brand owned by Dimedium Group brings smart solutions from the world’s top manufacturers to Baltic states farms. Throughout 2024, Dimedium Group expanded its Smart Farm solutions across the Baltic states, introducing advanced monitoring systems like Alta CowWatch and HerdVision. These technologies enable realtime tracking of animal health, movement, and reproduction, enhancing welfare and productivity. The Group organized cross-Baltic training sessions and on-farm demonstrations to ensure effective implementation and data interpretation.
